I have a 4 month old, and have just found my self pregnant again. Are there any complications known with this? I'm very nervous that my body is not ready after only having a short break from being pregnant the first time.

I have a 4 month old as well and am quite fearful that I am pregnant. So fearful, that I have yet to confirm it with a pregnancy test. But my body is doing all the same things it did when I was pregnant. I started a menstrual cycle almost 2 months ago and had my first period and it hasn't come again since then which is another thing that's leading me to believe I am pregnant again. However, after reading all of these responses, I'm not as scared. I didn't know it happened so often. I think after work today I'm going to pick up a test and see what's up! I see this was posted a few years ago, I'm curious, how did it turn out? did you struggle a lot with being pregnant and having to take care of an infant; that's honestly my biggest fear.

Hi I have a 7 year old and and 6 year old and a 4 year old. My 7 and 6 years olds are only 10 months apart. I went in for my 6week check up and found out I was pregnant again. The only thing that was different was I couldn't breastfeed while I was pregnant.Other than that everything was great and they are like bestfriends more then they are like sisters. The doc. did say b-c there are such close pregnancy that most likely it would be the same sex as the oldest and he was right I have 2 girls. My body did great no problems at all it was also a very fast labor. Hope this helps you. Let me know please.

My son is 5 months old, and im recently 3 months 3 days pregnant..i found out when i was already 2 month pregnant.. i was also warry about it, but midwife said everything is gonna be ok, im not the 1st and not the last..lots of women getting pregnant straight away after birth...she only said that my 2nd baby can born earlier, as my 1st one was 3 weeks early...that's all...good luck and congrats :)

I had my daughter, then right after i had her i was pregnate with my son so they are 9 months apart, all i had to take was iron pills becuase it was low after just having one kid and both of my kids are healthy.so you shouldnt have any problems.

I've heard of it and there shouldn't be any issues! It's exciting but scary having a 4 month old I'm sure! The biggest thing that I've heard is if your breastfeeding sometimes your milk can change while your pregnant (change flavor, color, oder or even dry up some).

Congratulations! I hope everything goes well for you!

my daughter was 6 months when i got pregnant with my son... and now i have about 6 weeks left of my pregnancy. so far its been a normal, healthy pregnancy. the only problem ive been having with this one is i am so much more tired than when i was pregnant with my daughter, but of course i am with a wild little toddler running around all day lol

It takes your body almost a year to fully recover from having a baby. Doctors do not recommend getting pregnant so soon but of course it happens. The only thing I am aware of is that it ups your chance of miscarriage but I am sure you will be fine. Best wishes to you.

my girls are 13 months apart... i got my period in october and when i missed in november i KNEW it was because i was pregnant again- and i was!! with twins!! .... because it was twins, that was where the complications came from. actually, i was really happy i was pregnant for nearly 2 years because i got that out of the way and now can focus on getting my body back in shape!

I was the same way. My girls are 16 months apart but it kind of creeped up on me. My labor did go way faster with my 2nd daughter compared to my first.

Congrats..

Well, Jessica, I think everyone is different, and I didnt have this situation. But, I do know a few ladies who miscarried right after birth. How far along are you?

Just take your prenatals and eat as healthy as you can. It is a little stressful to your body as they say your body doesn't return to normal until 1 year after giving birth but you will be fine bc woman do it all the time!

unless the doctors told u there will be problems there shouldnt be. just remember back in the old days women use top deliver babies in there houses by themselves its natural and ur body will tell u if there is something wrong.

My doctor said you should give it about a year between babies to give yourself time to really heal and get hormones back in order. If you are breastfeeding, you will probably find that your milk will dry up because your body will start trying to get ready to produce for the second child. The second birth usually goes faster and easier than the first and you will be more prepared and less nervous since everything is still so fresh in your mind from the first birth. I think you will be fine just take all the help you can get from friends and family and take as many naps as possible because once you have that second baby naps will be a thing of the past! I hope this helps. Good luck!!!

My son was 6 months when I found out I was pregnant again. I was advised to stop breastfeeding, thats about it. I did find that I gained less weight, less quickly but my younger son was still 8lbs 6oz and is perfectly healthy in every way! Im sure everything will be fine! Dont stress!

Nah! You'll be fine honey...don't worry! : ) Womens bodies are built for having babies...your bod will kick right into gear and remember what it's supposed to do! The only down side to being pregnant again this early, is now you'll have to lose baby fat from two pregnancies....but that won't be too hard either. Congratulations, and hang in there~you and the new little one will be fine! : )
