Pregnant with horrible headaches/migraines!!! Advice?

Hello everyone. I am a mother of two. My oldest is seven years old and my youngest is 9 months old. I am also 14 weeks pregnant with my third child. I have been having horrible headaches for the past three weeks relentlessly. I am normally pre-eclampitc but before 20 weeks if your BP is high they just classify you as having hypertension in pregnancy. I am on BP medicine and my BP is stable. I am trying to figure out what is causing these headaches. They are so bad that it's hard to even complete everyday activities. I can't hardly eat and I am just miserable. Has anyone ever had this? I didn't have this with my other two kids. Any kind of insight would be great. I have contacted my OB and waiting to hear back from her but thought I would try this in the meantime. Thanks!!

I have had severe migraines since I was 6 years old with only about 1 a month, since being pregnant with my second child I have had at least 1 a week lasting 3 days or more. This started around 16 weeks for me and has been relentless. There is a vitamin protocol for headache prevention that a neurologist recently put me on that may help you too. It is completely safe during pregnancy as it is just vitamins. It is Magnesium 250 mg twice a day OR 400 mg once daily, Riboflavin (b2) 200 mg daily, and Co Enzyme q10 100 mg daily. My husband has regular headaches and we have both started taking these daily and it has really helped us both. It doesn't help with sinus headaches, but it definitely helps with the other types if headaches. Hope this helps you. I had to have the pharmacy special order the B2 because they didn't keep it regularly in stock. If you do try the vitamins, be warned they will turn your pee bright yellow so its not anything to be concerned about... Hope this information is helpful for you...

Ask you OB for something, I had the same problem when i was pregnant and my doctor game me something for headaches. It was basically tylenol, caffiene, and something to make you sleep but it worked so good!!!! The caffiene just makes the tylenol work better. Good Luck!

Hi. I also had the migraines while pregnant with my last two kids. I'm not too sure what causes it but I do know its a normal symptom while pregnant. I believe its your hormones and all the stress of having to do so much and pregnant. Still talk to your OB as it could also be something more serious. good luck, congrats and God Bless!!!
