Hi, I wondered if anyone has had similar problems to me, I was sent to hospital on a Monday at 26 weeks with frequent but very mild BH. So mild I hadn't actually gone in about that. As the week progressed they got a little worse and they gave me some medication to try stop the contractions and also some injections to help develop the baby's lungs just in case. Any way they sent me home a week later as they are concerned that if I stay in hospital I may develop blood clots but to keep a very low thresh hold and if my BH worsen or I get a little poorly to go back. I wondered if this has gone on with anyone else for a full week but still had the baby early or whether this is just the way my body is and nothing will come of it? They haven't checked to see if I'm dilating fow almost a week as they said it could cause infection if they keep looking... I have no idea what to expect!!

Wow 9 babies! Well I really do hope I do make it near to the end, sometimes I feel doubtfull but with other people saying they went through the same thing is very relieving! I was in bits in the hospital as I had no idea what was going on but at least if i end up there again I will be a lot calmer. Thanks a lot both of you! X

I have a friend who has had 9 babies and has only made it to her due date once. All of her kids came 2 weeks early. She started having contractions with each of them right around the time that you are. Every time she was given medication to stop labor. And she made it to full term with each of them. Good luck!

Oh we'll it makes me feel a lot better knowing that the baby may not come for a little while yet! I get up everyday now and wonder if today will be the day! Thanks for replying. X

I had the same thing happen to my son, I was put on strict bedrest for 2 months, and my son was born 3 1/2 weeks early. I had braxton hicks for the remainder of my pregnancy, and they were never strong enough to concern me, they even had to give me pitocin in the delivery room because my contractions weren't strong enough.
