i was just wondering if anyone can suggest a good prenatal vitamin. i've been taking over the counter one-a-day prenatals and my doctor recommended them, but the problem is i can't keep them down. i'm 16 weeks and i feel guilty bc i haven't been good about taking them either bc i know if i do i will just throw them up. did anyone not take prenatals at all and everything was fine?

I was terrible with taking my prenatal vitamins and when I remembered them they made me sick. I ended up not taking them with my second and had no problems she was born healthy. The only problem I had was my iron was really low after her birth and I had to take iron pills, but my iron has always been low.

I had a problem at the beginning of this pregnancy (I still forget to take them alot too) My doc told me to take 2 Flintstones vitamins if I couldn't keep down the regular prenatal. I took one in the morning and one at night, so I was still getting all my vitamins, just smaller, less tummy irritating doses.

Hey Kayla! I had the same problem with my first one. I found that if I took the Flinstone chewables with extra Iron, I could keep them down. I would take one in the morning and one right before bed, and ALWAYS with a snack of some sorts (I liked pudding- easy on the stomach). My doctor ok'd it, saying it was better than nothing. Hope it helps, and good luck!
