I love my IUD. No periods, no pills, sex anytime, it's great! I do have one problem though, my husbands says that he can feel it, and it really hurts. I know at first that the strings attached often feel like fishing line but wear overtime, but I have had mine for 2 years! It is so bad that he says we would have sex more if I had it taken out. (By the way I enjoy sex and would LOVE to have it more often). I haven't talked to anyone who has one that has this problem, I need advice. Do you or anyone u know have this problem? I really wanna keep it!

well when it actually gets implanted it hurts, but that is literally for like 2 seconds, then ur good. There will be some cramping that day, but nothing worse than a period. this is not a guarantee that u wont have a period. mt friend has hers in 5 months b4 me and she still has regular periods, i am just one of the lucky ones. hope it works out for u, i absolutely LOVE MINE! just make sure to keep the strings trim so u dont have a problem like me!!!!

I had this problem when I first got mine*6 months ago* and went in to have the strings shortened. He still felt it and so I had them shortened again. No trouble anymore.

I am on my 2nd IUD and love it! I had the same problem with my first one and found out that it was not placed right. I would say that you need to go to dr. and have it checked out and tell the dr. what your husband told ya.

i bled for 16 straight days when i got mine, and had a couple of regular periods after that, but after that nothing. I occasionally get very mild cramps, but they are less than before I had it. But everyone is different. My best friend got hers about 5 months before I got mine, and she continues to have regular periods. The cramping and everything the same.

I know where you are coming from. My doctor had told me that if my boyfriend felt it and it became a problem with sex then I could come back and have the string that hangs down from the IUD snipped off. You can cut it shorter and it doesnt do anything bad to it or you. My boyfriend doesnt feel it all the time so it hasnt been an extreme problem like yours.
