I've been diagnosed with PUPPS during my pregnancy.. I'm currently 32 weeks and I'm suffering badly... The only way to fully get rid of this rash, is to have to baby :( Which won't be for another month..

Did anyone else have this with their pregnancies..? If so, how did you handle it?

I had this, too, for 3 weeks before I delivered! It was AWFUL! I kept a bathtub full of cool water and oatmeal and would soak for 10-15 minutes as needed. I also put calamine in a spray bottle, would get in the shower and spray myself down and let it air dry. Additionally (and we spent a small fortune on this), I got about 3 or 4 different anti-itch creams and would rotate them on the most itchy areas. My doctor also told me to take Benadryl every few hours. I can't remember now how much/often I was taking, but it did help a little bit. I really really hope it clears up for you soon! (I cleared up a few days before I delivered!)

My best friend had it, and she used Sarna its a lotion you can buy at CVS.. She used BOTTLES of it, but it helped her.

Luckily I will be getting induced at 38 weeks so I only have 6 more weeks left... I've used pine tar soap, dandelion root, and oatmeal baths... they work only a little bit.. the only thing that has really helped is the low dose steroid that the dermatologist put me on.. unfortunately, steroids can make the baby get bigger and can increase my chances of getting gestational diabetes so the derma wont give me any more of that.. I'm just hoping now that this baby comes soon... and the sex thing- aint happening.. i swear my boyfriend is allergic to sex.. he NEVER wants it.. ever... its been over a month.. it sucks!

Im so sorry you are going through this! I had it BAD mine didnt start until I was 36 weeks but I had a very very severe case of it. I tired everything i could get my hands on to help with the itching but for me i didn't find much relief. My OB even sent me to the dermotologist who put me on a steriod and after 4 days it hadn't done anything for me (the Drs where really surprised by this). I found some temporary relief if i took cold showers or used ice packs but those only worked while the cold was on them. I used pine tar soap and would shower like 5 times a day in warm water but before I got out I would turn the water all the way to cold and let it run over my body for a minute. I have heard some people swear by dandelionroot. My OB okayed me to try it but like I said before nothing worked for me. my OB wasn't willing to induce me early and I left after one of my appointments in tears becuase I was absolutly miserable. The upside was that i went into labor 2 weeks early and it stoppped itching as soon as my water broke and was almost completly gone by the next day. I was still red from it for a few weeks but it didn't itch anymore. If your OB is willing to do it i would absolutly go for it if i was you. I hope that you are able to find some relief.

I should also mention, my doctor was going to schedule me for an induction, too, but encouraged me to do lots of activities (walking, housework, etc.) and have sex. As tired as I was from the PUPP, I cleaned the house and ended the day with sex, and 2 hours after, my water broke and I went into labour.

I never had it, but one of my friends did. Yes, the only way to get rid of it is to have the baby. At that it goes away slow. I think it took my friend about 3weeks after having the baby for it to be gone all the way. Good luck
