Has anyone else ever dealt with relationship issues between you and your significant other after the birth of your child? I'm a stay-at-home mom with a 3 month old son and my boyfriend gets up at 430am to leave for work and gets home about 12 hours later, so, I'm home all day with our son trying to figure out a routine that works best for him with his naps and feedings & then my boyfriend comes home & makes noise, takes a shower, wants to see our son while he's trying to sleep! Or he comes home & the baby is still awake (but sleepy and ready for a nap) so then he thinks the baby is up and ready to play & it's soooooo frustrating! I try to keep our son up until he gets home from work so they can see each other, but sometimes it just doesn't work out that way. Our schedule during the day is basically this: baby wakes up, I feed him/diaper change, then it's play time, then it's nap time (I try not to keep him up past 2 hours at a time, but I can tell when he's sleepy) & that pattern is repeated all day. Anyways, last night I got very frustrated with my bf because I had just put a very sleepy baby in his crib & of course he was doing his usual fussing/crying before he actually falls asleep & that's when my bf got home. He took our son out of the crib, changed his diaper & then brought him out into the living room because 'his eyes were wide open'. Well, of course they were NOW!! I got upset & told him he screws everything up when he comes home & he got angry & left too cool off. I feel HORRIBLE. He's a fantastic father to our son, but I'm just so wrapped up in 'baby world' that when things get off schedule concerning our son I get very, very frustrated!! I just feel like the worst person now....

yeah I suppose so...dynamics are different once a child is involved.. but I just shouldn't have been so hurtful. :( are you a stay-at-home mom or do you work?
