My three year old has horrible anxioity when I drop him off at Day care. Throwing complete fits. Any moms have advice on how to squelch this

My son does the same thing. I've just realized that me staying longer when I drop him off doesn't help the situation at all, so I try to make goodbyes quick. Also, takin him during snack time seems to be a GREAT distraction and he definitely has a better attitude.

When you're at home, just try walking out onto the front deck for a minute, then walk back in, with your child knowing. Do this periodically, at random times, during the day. Every week, try extending that time little by little, that way your child can get used to you leaving, but also knowing that, yes, you will return for them, lol. It sounds funny, I know, but it worked for another mother I know. If you try it, good luck and I hope it works for you :)
