So I have read and been told that sex can cause you to contract and sometimes start labor. But because I am a repeat c-section the doctor will not check me for dilation or anything. So anyway if hubby and I have sex in this one position I do contract and if we do our normal position I just cramp a little and my va jay jay is sore for a little bit. So how can I tell if I am getting close to putting myself into labor with sex? Is there anything else I can do to start labor?

Every woman is different. On ways to figure out if you are going into labor or close to it: Check on google seearch: Signs of labor, or, signs of the start of labor. Even check up other methods to starting labor. I prefer natural over CSection.... So I would try. But remember..... You are already scheduled for a CSection. If you are going to try and go natural still, make sure to let your doctor know so they can check you. You might just get some extra luck :)

Castor oil, sex, lots of walking, raspberry leaf tea, squats.

When I was pregnant with my daughter, I did squats. I had pretem labor for two weeks before my water broke. Was horrible! I would put my lower arms on a chair, like a lazy boy, and slowly squat my bum to the floor. hold for a few seconds. n kept repeating. the one time i did it i felt ALOT of pressure and when i stood up my water broke. that day i had done a lot of walking, drinking that raspberry leaf tea, and did yoga. (The sex method I have heard does work, but in my opinion, its the orgasm, to word it bluntly. orgasm creates contractions... i figured that out quickly lol)

There are plenty of old wives tales about starting labor.

Eating curry, going for a drive down a bumpy road, castor oil, sex, light exercise.

None of them can guarantee to start labor, but hey, no harm can really come from trying them, as long as you are gentle.
