Should I be concerned that my son isn't even attempting to walk after he has turned one?

ive heard this same thing that Lindsay said from so many of my frends with kids. they told me to be greatful mine is not yet walking or crawling properly and doesnt pull herself up onto tables. i have seen babies almost half briannas age doing this and it sure looks time consuming making sure they dont get into things theyre not supposed to

My daughter never showed much interest in walking by herself until she was at the end of her 13th month. I was so worried but when she was walking everwhere at 14 1/2 months I missed her lack of mobility! My son, on the other hand, was walking great at 11 months. All kids are different and I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about it! One of these days you will be wondering why you were so worried!

I was just reading an article in a baby magazine yesterday that was talking about how all children learn to walk at different ages. Both my kids walked early (one at 9 months and the other at 10 months) which means that they are risk takers. They want to try something as soon as they find out it is a possibility. But others will wait until they know for sure they can do it and then one day, get up and start walking. These kids are more of a perfectionist. This article also said not to be concerned until they are 16 months and haven't shown the urge to walk. Just take comfort in the fact that you have a little one who wants to be sure when he tries, he does it right!

I wouldn't worry as long as he is doing everything else he is suppose to be doing.

i wouldn't worry to much every kid goes at their own pace. My daughter is 13 months and still just taking steps every now and then. He will be fine.
