Before i had my son they said it was something wrong with his heart. They said it wasn't any worry due to my age in my twenty's. Well we kept questioning wanting another ultrasound done, before he was born. I have had him. When he went for his 3-5 day check up. THe doctor ask did anyone say anything about his heart before he was release from the hospital. NO they didn't.So she scheduled and ultrasound on his heart. Now something is wrong. He's scheduled to see a specialist all the way in october. Here it is August. They say thats the earliest until the first of the year. Anything could be wrong. He's already on reflux medicine. To control his spit ups. What should i do? This is the health of my child, and i don't play about kids being sick. Anything could go wrong, if i didn't believe in God.

OMG that is terrible! My friend has a VERY difficult pregnancy and had several ultrasounds done when they were concerned about her Son's kidney development. She was in once a month. After he was born her doctor quickly diagnosed him with GERDS and acid reflux disease and has been monitoring it closely because he may need surgery before he is 2 years of age.

Even with my pregnancy being normal and without concern during delivery my Son stressed and his heart rate elevated. There was also #2ed before he was born. I needed and episiotomy and forceps. They took him to ICU for 6 hours and hooked him up to monitors, ran tests, ect before they'd even bring him to my room! They kept us in the hospital 3 days and 2 nights until my doctor cleared us for release!

I think that is HORRIBLY wrong they didn't monitor his heart closer when they even suspected there could be something minor wrong! A heart is more vital than kidneys and my friend's physician went the extra mile to keep an eye on that!

It's horrible that you have to wait until October too. One way to look at it though is to be very thankful your child isn't critically ill to the point they rushed him in and admitted him. Be thankful for that blessing and keep your faith in whatever you decide to do.
