That is how i got my little girl to go on the potty we had a few accidents (she never pooed on the floor) and just took her to the toilet every so often and she is now toilet trained

I would start out just taking him often at the same everyday, after drinking and eating. This will help to get him to go in the potty and it will also give him the idea of what the potty is for. I hope this helps.

let him go.... just make sure that you remind him constantally and constiantly. it does work and ill tell you it is much easier with boys then girls i have a 7 yr old son and it only took me about three weeks of really being on it for him to be trained now my almost three year old daughter well we have been working on it for almost a yr and she is just now getting it, good luck its so much nicer once its done and over with,,,

They're a few things that you could try if you haven't already. one is take some cheerios and put them in the toilet and tell him to aim and try to hit them.or make a potty page everytime her goes potty give him a sticker to put on the page after he fills up the page let him pick out a toy or something. The potty page worked out for my son. it's worth a try.
