My daughter Kendra is going to be two next month and my son Caleb is 6 months she has always been very loving towards him and never shown any feelings of jealousy Caleb requires a lot of special care because of mulitple birth defects but she has never seemed to mind..now all the sudden she acts out when i am taking care of the baby..and started taking all his toys away from him, wanting to climb all over me when im holding him, and even trying to hit him at times..im not doing anything different im wondering what has changed

sounds like terrible 2's. just have to be consistant and try to give her some 1-on-1 as often as possible. keep her distracted and busy. colour, draw, practice the alphabet, anything that will occupy her. its not really jealousy its more testing the waters with you i believe. i have 4 kids and all of them are in wonderful stages. 6, 3, 19 months, and 9 weeks. so i've got the "why" and "how" stage, the "who cares everything is mine" stage, the "terrible 2" stage and what better stage than the "newborn". my daughter's 19 months and she tends to be the same way with my youngest. and my oldest was the same way with my second. so just try to keep her busy and in about a year or so she lay off a bit. i'd say by the time she's 4 everything should be settled down.

I'm not really sure what might have changed with her, maybe she just is missing alone time with you. Maybe you could take a day out of the week (get a sitter for your son) and for just for a few hours have just you and her go do something together. Or maybe while the baby is napping you and her can do something fun. Just show her a little more attention and see if that works....
