Sleep Position

We've been working with our 8 1/2 month old to get him to sleep through the night. We've gone through a lot of crying, but my question today is about how he falls asleep. He has been standing for a few months now, so he stands and screams. As he gets tired, he sits and then ends up just leaning forward and falling asleep folded in half. Of course, if moved, he wakes. I won't leave him like that at night, but for naps, I'm wondering if it's harmful for him to sleep this way?

if he's able to roll over if he needs to I'd think he'd be fine to sleep like that all night my son sleeps in a very similar position everytime I ever peek in on him he's basiclly bent in half, I talked to his dr b/c I was worried about it somehow interferring with his breathing when he was younger and started sleeping that way( mine was around 7 months) and dr said they fall asleep how they're comfortable so I'd think you'd be fine just to let him be. By the way he looks like a super cute little man

my son is exactly the same way, when i would go in there to move him he would wake up and want me to hold him so i started sending his dad in to move him and he let him. so for a while i would put a shirt of my bfs on so i would smell like him and go in and move the baby, he fell for it!! now he doesnt sleep like that anymore!! if he is sleeping like that i would think it would hurt his neck or back and make him even more cranky because he doesnt get well rested!!

if your baby rolls over i would think it's ok because he will change positions when he gets uncomfortable.. i'm not a professional but i think it should be fine.. my drs office said once they roll over they can sleep in any position they want... my son is 16 months old and sleeps on his stomach with his butt in the air.. hope my opinion helps you.. :)
