My baby has been waking almost every hour at night since she started formula, even when I was only giving her formula during the day and still breastfeeding at night. And she keeps fussing and fighting sleep until I feed her again, any ideas why this is happening and what I can do to get her back to her regular sleeping shedule?

maybe it is her milk? when u were breastfeeding was it with a btl or strictly from the breast. 2 oz of formula is like 3 of breastmilk...it may be too heavy.

Her too?! I thought he was going off the wall...I would just try to keep her on a schedule, no matter what (unless she is sick, of course) She may just have to get used to it. Since I am feeding Zuri 3 meals a day, plus snacks, I realized I had to put him on one, cuz, honey, he was driving me crazy...wanting to eat all the time.

Well, it sounds like she is fine. Zuri is doing the same thing. She just may be rebelling. I remember my ped telling me (with my big girl) that if they are really hungry, they will drink water first. Her sleeping is great. But I did that with my big girl, I did 1 oz and she never drank it, she was fooling with me. But it doesn't hurt to try. I really think she is just fooling with you. Some ppl do cold/cool milk at night but I think she is too young for that. If all else fails, call your ped and ask to speak with a nurse, hopefully she doesn't have colic...have you rubbed her gums? Feel any new teeth?

She slept from about 9pm until 7 am before with one 4am feeding. And was eating every 3 hours during the day. She's been eating more often during the day too, but it's strating to even out in the day time. At first she'd only eat a couple ounces everytime I fed her, but now she's starting to eat 4-6 ounces when I feed her and going longer before wanting to eat again, except at night. Her poops gotten thicker and is a darker color, but she's also eating some solids now, so I figured the thicker consistancy had alot to do with that, since it started when we started solids, a couple weeks before she switched to formula.

Ah, ok, so at lesat you know it isn't messing with her tummy. My little one is 5 months also. Was she sleeping thru the night before? How often did you breastfeed her? You may have to put her on a schedule. the only time Zuri did that was when he was going thru a growth spurt but that is really frequent. Like I said, she may be trying to refuse. She still pooping normally, right?

Well, the stuff she's on now I bought, but we have a wic appt on friday, so we'll be getting it through them then. Usually it's about room temp when i feed her at night, since I just bring bottles of water and the formula into our room at bed time. I'll try warming it from now on. She sprawls out when she's laying down. She's 5 months.

NNNNOOOO! That will take some of the vitamins and nutrients out of it. Are you warming or doing room temp? I warmed my kiddos. Does your little one seem to be balling up when you lay them down? Are you buying milk or are you using WIC? If you are buying, you may want to try Nestle Good Start, if not, I loooovvveeee Similac!!! But remember, they may be trying to buck the system...how old is your bundle of love?

I fed her strictly breast milk. Every once in awhile she'd have it in a bottle, but it was always breastmilk. Until a few weeks ago when I suddenly just seemed to be drying up. Should I water it down more, or what?
