By the time they can roll over by themselves, it is safe to sleep on there tummys. All three of my children always slept on there tummy. The pediatrician told me "As a doctor I have to tell you to have them sleep on their backs, as a mom I say if they only sleep on the belly let them"

My daughter, now almost 11 monthes, has been rolling onto her stomach in her sleep since about 5 maybe 6 monthes. it was actually my mom who made me ask, but i ended up asked the doc at a check up and was told it's fine as long as they can roll there themselves. if you're truely concerned you can always roll her back onto her back when you noticed she's rolled, but you always run the risk of waking her up.

As long as you put her on her back to sleep and she gets in that position its ok. My daughter does the same thing and she is 7 months she has been doing this since 5 or 6 months. She almost always sleeps on her side or her tummy. The other morning i got her up and she had been sleeping on her side and her diaper had leaked because of it so that was annoying. I woudn't worry about it too much if she can roll over both ways by herself.

My daughter is almost 10 months and she always sleeps on her tummy or side. As long as they have full head control and can move around and put themselves in that position it is safe for them to do so.
