My little girl is only 3 months and i have been trying to put her on a sleeping schedule so i know when i get time to do things and most importantly sleep! She sleeps from around 4am until noon if i let her. I have tried wakin her up early and it never seems to work...any advice on how to get her days switched around and get her to bed like most people?

We do the bath at night, around 8-9pm, and my baby sleeps 4 to 6 hours after that. If your kid is feeling refreshed after bath, then do it in the morning. But having a schedule for such a young child doesn't sounds good to me.

I would wake her up an hour earlier and put her to bed an hour earlier each night, an till you eventually get the schedule you want. my daughter is six month old and sleeps from around 9:30 to 11;00pm to 8:00am and has since she was a week old.

With my son, I began to lay him down awake around 2 months. I wanted to start at a young age so he would do well with self soothing. He generally took 2 to 3 naps a day and I would never allow him to sleep longer than about 2 1/2 hours. I put him to bed at 8:30 everynight and he managed to sleep all night long. I've never had a problem since. The morning nap usually began around 9 am and the afternoon nap was about 1:30 or 2 pm. Now my son is 14 months old and we have an amazing schedule. He naps once everyday laying down at 1 pm and sleeps for about 2 1/2 hours. I put him to bed at 8:30 pm and he sleeps all night and doesn't wake until around 8 am or when I have to wake him. My suggestion is to lay her down at the same time everyday while getting her up at the same time everyday. It will probably take a week or so to get in a routine but she will eventually do it on her own even though she'll probably protest at first. It's amazing the personality that comes out in them that young LOL!

Read the book good night sleep tight by Kim West...it was amazing and solved my daughters sleep problems in less than a week. Best of luck

4am to noon sounds like a good chunk of sleep for a little one(especially at just 3 months) and yes, I know how hard to can be to wake your baby, but I think 3 months is a little too young to expect a good routine. But If your wanting her to be awake instead of sleeping throughout the afternoon there are always ways. My oldest was a stubborn baby to wake, but what I always did was strip him of his clothes, they hate that! try really hard if you can to keep her awake during the day, yes she will nap but I think 8 hours is too long. Its going to take time for you and your baby to get on a routine, but I know you can do it :)
