Hi my daughter is 6 and a half months now and she does not sleep through the night any more. She started not sleeping about a month ago and does not even have naps only 10 minuites here and there. I was wondering if anyone has any advice to help get her to sleep?

Many thanks Kate

I spoke to the health visiter a little while ago but she said its normal which dont really help when you want to sleep! Emily has been like this for just over a month now just worries me that she is not gettin enough sleep as she is always gettin ill and i think that is a reason why.

it may sound weird....my son is about the same age and when he's havin trouble sleeping i put our huge box fan in his crib on medium. i secure it with twisty ties to the railings and place a blanket in front. feet closet to the fan...he goes right to sleep.

It sounds like your daughter may be over-stimulated. At 6 1/2 months babies still need a lot of sleep! If she isn't sleeping through the night, she should at least still be taking a 2 hour nap or a couple hour naps. How long has this no-sleep been going on for? Have you talked to your doctor? I feel your pain though, i have a 2 year old who stopped sleeping through the night a few months ago and is still up at night and we have another on the way. You also might wanna try letting her cry a little when she wakes up to see if she can settle herself down.
