I have a 16 mo. old girl who loves to eat! I'm running out of ideas for snacks between meals. She has no known allergies.

my daughter eats everything as well! a snack she enjoys, that hasn't been mentioned, is cottage cheese with bits of fruit in it (mango, peaches, pears, papaya...or whatever else)....or if not fruit, she will also eat it with small pieces of ham in it.

what about a fruit and veggie tray, I give my son the 100 calorie pack snacks, celery and peanut butter with raisins on it. crakers and cheese, pretzels, yogurt or go gurts, apples and peanut butter, pudding, knox blocks (jello jigglers), moose munch its a chex cereal, powdered sugar, pretzels, and other kind of munchie you can think of. you bake it in the oven with chocolate and put powdered sugar on it and can store it in a bag. muffins, cheez its, they even have dairy drinks. we tried rice cakes with favourite spreads- kids love them, pikelts with the no sugar mix done in mini form, mini quiches with any vegies grated into them- really easy and quick to make and freeze really well too, also fruit cut up and threaded onto skewers and frozen like iceblocks- takes them longer to eat, and they love the melting on their tongue!

I would make a giant bag of your own kid friendly semi healthy trail mix...put in some cheerios raisins, dried fruit, and m&ms, or add whatever you like, but its semi nutritional and fun for them to eat!

Fruit, veggies (cut to small size), snack crackers (like gold fish, teddy grahams), maybe dried fruits.  My boys love cheese.  Sandwiches cut into small shapes.  My boys also love black olives, though I don't give them to them very often.  Apples with peanut butter - big hit with my boys.  I did banane's dipped in chocolate once, but I gave those as a dessert.  Hope this helps.

Here is a link to a great website.  Alot of the recipes and ideas are for those starting foods, but there are also lots of great finger food recipes, etc. under the tab baby food recipes.  You can def. take some of the ideas geared towards babies and cater it to your daughters needs.  Happy snacking!

Raisins, cheese and crackers, apples and cheese, popcorn, any deli meat smeared with cream cheese and rolled up (turkey or ham seems to work the best), fruit coctail, banana slicest covered with rice krispies, toast, dry cereal, jello, yogurt (the yoplait go-gurt is sometimes easier and less messy to eat).



Hope these are helpful ideas, I think the key is to think of snacks as mini meals and try to make them as healthy as possible.

Great list by Linda!  I would also add carrots, celery, any raw or cooked veg.  Now, this is up to you, but I gave my son peanut butter after he turned 1, so I would use that on celery or crackers also.  Hard-boiled eggs, toast, and easy-mac were and are still of his favorites.

I gave my kids, mini muffins, cheese and crackers(or just crackers, they loved the breton mini's and goldfishies), cut fruit pieces, yogurt,  homemade cookies, nutrigrain bars, cheerios, and some of the commercial snacks(like puffs).  Hope i've helped:)
