solid food

Finding this site came just in time. I have a question for anyone who cares to reply.. My daughter is 6 months and we just started her on solid food (gerber purees). The doctor suggested we start slow and feed solids after nursing. Today, the sitter misuderstood my direction and fed her only the container of solid puree. I am a new mom and worried about everything when it comes to my little one. Do I have anything to worry about? Thanks everyone!

She'll probably be fine. She's probably REALLY full, but just fine. :)

She should definitely be getting milk before solids, but missing a bottle once isn't a big deal. We had a similar issue with my son's daycare. Right after he started solids, they let him finish a whole 4 oz jar at once - I couldn't believe it and worried that was too much, too soon for him. But he didn't seem to be bothered by it, no upset tummy or anything that night. I'm sure your little one with be just fine!

i dont think there is anything to worry about. i started my daughter on solids when she was 2 1/2 months and she refused her formula if she didnt have her solids. i highly doubt 1 time without milk/formula will harm her.
