How old is he? Here in Malta doctors do not suggest adult food before one year. but when she was four months i started the mixed fruit puree instead of one bottle of milk. she was ok and she was n0t fed up of drinking always milk. check more with your peditrician. its better . good luck

He likely isn't interested in food per se - he's probably just interested in whatever it is you are doing. He may or may not be ready for solids. Has he lost the tongue thrust reflex? That will allow him to move food around in his mouth. Also, can he sit unsupported? He needs to be able to do so before you start spoon feeding him. That way he is able to move his head towards or away from the spoon, to let you know if he wants more.

I started my son at about 4 1/2 months, and was told to by the doctor, but he was intrested in the food that i was eating so i felt that he was ok to try.....i just started with veggies then fruit and then the "meal" ones....and also anything that i was eating that i thought was baby friendly......if you feel he is ready than i would say go for it....good luck

IF HE WANTS , LET HIM TRY IT. MY ATE SOLIDS AT 8 MONTHS AND SHE DIDN'T LIKE SO MUCH BABY FOOD. AT 4 MONTHS I STARTED FRUIT JUST TO FAMILIARIZE WITH THE SPOON. IT HELPED ALOT.

If he wants it let him try it. My son started eating real food at 4 months and never did baby food.
