Stay at home mom

I am a stay at home mom, who recently moved to a new state courtesy of my husband and the military. Because I don't know anyone here, my entire life seems to revolve around my 21 month old daughter. Which is fine with me. The problem comes in when I talk to people who don't have children. The only thing I really have to talk about is my daughter. She is at an age where she is always doing something new and it is amazing to me. But, it seems to annoy some of my friends. Is this normal?

yeah its normal, im the only one out of my circle of friends that have kids, and they are constantly moaning coz thats all i talk about, coz of this im often left out of their plans. my advice would be find a toddler group or something like that and make some friends with kids x

Yep. Our babies are amazing and the world needs to know it!!

Maybe try to find other moms to be friends with - even just taking your kids to the park together, or maybe finding a "Mommy and Me" class or MOPS (which I think stands for Mothers of Preschoolers? anyway, just a bunch of moms getting together, someone is there to watch the kids play...). I think if you had other "mom" friends you'd have a lot more in common to talk about.
