Stress pimples?

My six month old gets these weird little pimple-like things on his body when he cries. Usually it is only when he has bad gas pains or from teething. He has had these since he was born. They only stay for a short while, never more than an hour. I had mentioned it to his pediatrician, but she didn't seem worried. I was just wondering if anyone else noticed this?

It is completely normal... doctors have many names for it but it is simply baby acne. Babies have very sensitive skin that is still adjusting to the atmosphere and when the skin becomes irritated by heat, cold, even the blanket or clothes rubbing against it, or if your baby is fussy and their face is red from crying it may become more noticable. As long as it not a rash that last more than a day or two without going away... there is no need to worry. But, if it makes you feel better mention it to your doctor at the next visit thats what they are there for.

Wow I have never heard of this before! I know that babies get milia which are little white bumps on their body which are "baby pimples" and you are not supposed to pop them or anything. If I were you, since your pediatrician didn't seem worried you could ask for a second opinion. My kids' pediatrician was mine when I was growing up and I totally trust him but a second opinion never hurts!!

I have never heard of that, maybe it is similar to a birth mark. I know that I have seen that some infants when they get mad and tense up their face will get red with white bump on their forehead. So it might also be similar to that.
