pack a snack bowl full of cereal puff or her favorite crunchy snack. My daughter was 9 months when we flew (not as far as you will be going), but her eating cereal puffs really helped and she didn't fuss at all.

I seriously hope you arent suggesting she drug her baby up simply to make her sleep. benadryl is a medicine and should not be used to "help her sleep"

When I flew with my twins when they were 5 months, their doctor advised to ensure that they are sucking either a bottle or a pacifier when taking off and landing. It helps to keep their ears from not hurting. It worked for my babies. Good luck.
