Hey gals..I went to my cardiologist appointment this past week to find out that my heart condition got worse after I had my lil girl (7mth old). So he told me no more children. My hubby and I have been fighting over whether to have 2 or 3 for about a year. The news has hit our family hard. I want to go against the docs orders, but not sure it's worth the risk. I didn't have any complications with Ashlyn (my lil girl) until delivery and then my body stressed too much and stressed her so we did a c-section. So I don't see why I can't just plan a c-section this next time. Anyway what do all of you think? Any words of support or something to ease the pain of hearing my lil girl may be the only child?

Brianne-I read your posting, and I think your question about a second c-section is an excellent question for your cardiologist. Maybe there is more information out there for you to weigh out your options of a second pregnancy. Otherwise there is always a second medical opinion.

I wish you all the best. But a friend of mine was told by doctors not to have any more children, she went on to have another anyway. Her baby girl was born in 2007 and is still being treated for a heart disorder. It took the whole community to help by donating money to be able to bring her home. she requires alot of medical equiptment and a special car to carry it all. Shes finally home but they had to move closer to the hospital. Their family is suffering from the stress this has put on them including her little boy. So i suggest speaking to the best doctors you can, and making a plan that suits you and your body. I hope you little girl doesnt end up an only child. Your in my thought.
