When my daughter turned 1 I just switched out the formula for milk, didn't make a big deal about it, and my daughter accepted it just fine. Try that, and if your child rejects it, then start mixing it into the formula, adding a little more milk each time.

THIS IS WHAT I DID ,MY SON HAD TO BE PUT ON LACTOSE FREE FORMULA ,SO I WOULD PUT 1/2 FORMULA AND 1/2 THE MILK YOU CAN TRY THAT ALSO YOU CAN JUST TRY TO START GIVING IT TO HIM EVERY NOW AND THEAN LIKE FOR LUNCH ,DINNER I WOULD START INTODUCING IT IN A CIPPY CUP THO .ONE CHANGE MAKE IT ALL CHANGE ....MY DR WAS SAYING THAT CIPPY CUPS ARE NOT THE BEST THO ,IF ANY ONE NEEDS TO USE THEM OR WANTS TO USE THEM USE STRAW ONES ,OTHER CAN OFFECT ,SPEACH ...GOOD LUCK

With my first he took it right away...i actually was switching from breastfeeding to milk. He also did very well with the cup

However with my second, we have had a very rough time. I had stopped nursing a while back and she was on formula and since she was turning one I wanted to stop buying it and switch her to milk. She did not like the change. For almost 3 days she didn't drink anything. It took her about 2 weeks to finally come around to the milk, but we are still having a hard time about bottles. She'll take a bottle in the morning and sometimes at night. The rest of the time I only let her have a cup.

well you may want to split it with half milk and half formula the first couple of times, thats if he doesn't like straight milk at first (and make sure its whold milk they need the fat for the next year, after that you can give them 2 % or skim). . .please do not warm it up its not a good idea, they need to be used to the cold milk. . .and please please don't give a bottle at night or any time baby goes to sleep. . the milk has sugar and sits on the teeth and that creates cavities and thats where you get the kids with silver teeth. . when baby is on milk completley you should only give it three times a day with meals in a cup, they only need 12 oz of milk a day. . .too much milk can make them anemic. . .so give baby a four oz cup of milk with meals. ..my roommate gave her son a whole 8 oz bottle three times a day and warmed it up. . .they said when they gave him a bottle of milk he threw it up. . well that was because he probably wasn't used to it and they gave him a whole bottle. . i told them that is like give you two or three glasses of milk to drink at once!. . that is way too much. . .

also you can talk to your wic provider to get some ideas on switching to milk. .

and don't let him have a sippy cup all day. . i did that to my daughter and she expected milk and juice all the time. . .so give baby water during the day and milk at meal times. . he should go to sleep on his own ( i know its hard to do if he is used to a bottle or cup but its better for them if they don't) good luck

with my daughter when it was time to switch her i did her bottles with mostly milk and an ounce or 2 of formula. untill the fromula that i had was gone. then i just did milk, she took to it very well. i didnt have any problem switching her. i think what helped was that i put it in a bottle the first time for bedtime and i also warmed it up some, and that might of helped alot. well good luck and hope it goes well with your little guy.
