talking complete sentences

is it normal for a 2 year old to not talk complete sentences yet, hes still talking baby gibberish. the doctor says its normal but it just dont feel right

It depends on what you define as a complete sentence. For most 2 year olds if they can talk in 2, 3 or even 4 word sentences it's normal. If your expecting your toddler though to be able to speak in complex sentences the way adults do you're expecting too much. Kids generally get the hang of that around the age of 4. Sometimes sooner, sometimes later. All kids are different.

My daughter was a very early talker. She was speaking full sentences at 18-19months. My son, on the other hand, is 2 1/2 and just starting to use full sentences. He has been in speech for a year now. He is probably fine but if you are concerned, have him evaluated by a speech therapist, for if nothing else, to ease your worries.
