Hi there!
I was wondering if a few of you who are young moms who are working or in school full time and if you could tell me your pro and cons about being a young parent. Why? I'm considering having a baby in 2 to 3 years.
Thanks so much!

Im 22 and no kids yet but we are wanting to get all our "young dreams" done first.
We just purchased our first house

We want to go to thailand and japan.
he want his classic car and i want my second show horse.

I nannied alot before settling on school and a career. I currently have 7 god children... all within the "hey best friend want to baby sit distance" lol
and all my friends around the same age as me wished they would have waited a little bit longer.

I hear you on feeling out the waters and getting advice before you make the decision.

With you being so young, please have some more fun go on a couple of guilt free holidays.

Make sure you can financially support yourselves with another child or two!

Just have fun!

I have two little ones, Although I adore them, It wasn't wise a decision to have them early, I'm 24 trying my best to push through college online and raise a family on a budget because well we aren't as financially prepared for children. Yes their needs are provided, but there is a bigger advantage to waiting to have kids. I have literally no social life and its difficult. No don't have kids to soon, I should have listened to my mother. I sometimes wished I could have enjoyed my youth a little more, but I have no regrets. They are who motivate me to become a better person.

Im 23 my baby is going to be 3 months in a weeks time and motherhood is going great I just started work again and its going good but I am really missing my son alot. I wished i worked one set shift unfortunately i work either 6am or 1pm-10 so either i go to work when my son is asleep and come home when he is asleep. The cons about being a young mom is that every one wants to give there input and think that you cannot do anything properly for your baby which gets very frustrating at times. Also i work full time and im taking up some courses online and it is very difficult to take care of a baby, go to work and study. But i do not regret having my son young he is my pride and my joy my lifeline. To each its own.

I am a 24 year old mom to a 1 yr 10 months lil girl. I work full time but its 12 hour shift work and also study part time. I work as an intern at a rehabilitation centre on my days off. I have a full time nanny and still live with my daughters father, we are separated sleep in separate rooms and live like roomies raising a kid.

It is a little hectic but prayer and good friendships get me through it and the love I have for my daughter it is endless. I would advise you wait a bit but we are all designed for different battles.

oh and one thing that gets me through it is blogging about my issues...

Personally, I think you are kind of young. However, that is just me.

Depending if you guys are established, finished school, traveled and have done everything you really want to do, then go for it!

Hi, thank you for responding :)

I'm 18, soon to be 19.
I do have a four year old stepson, been raising him since he was 2, and yes you are right, children to require patience and attention.
Husband and I are thinking about having a baby in 2-3 years.

How old are you?

A baby is a lot of work, requires a lot of attention and patience, and a financial burden.

You should be settled before you have a child.
