We just found out that we are pregnant for the 2nd time! We are very happy and can't wait. My husband is afraid to tell his father's side of the family due to harsh comments from them. I wan't to be able to tell the world about the upcoming baby but I can't tell anyone in the tiny town I live in or the word will get back to his family. WHAT DO I DO???

My husband and I had the same discussion. Its better just to come out with it. Its not exactly easy to hide a baby, and its coming whether you or anyone else likes it or not haha. And if they want to make harsh comments, let them. If they're so concerned with what you do, you're already better than them.

Thanks, I haven't heard anything from them yet, but still nervous about it. I had my first appointment today and all is well! So, hopefully they wont be mad or call and be angry!

Sorry this kinda sounds like after the fact since you e-mailed them already, but mail them a note letting them know. That way they can react without you or your hubby having to listen to them.

Anywho, congratulations on baby #2!

Unfortunately family can be the worst with the snide comments!! I overheard my grandma shortly after I gave birth commenting on how I shouldn't have kept the baby!

You're an adult right? Just tell them! Who cares what they think about your adult decision to have another child. It's no ones business. I would ignore any comments that come your way. Focus on what's most importnant right now and that is you and baby :) Good luck!

Vicki,

I wish! If we did that then they would be really mad!!!! And probably wouldn't want anything to do with this baby. My husband just doesnt want to hear the hours of butt chewing about money and such. I know they don't have the right to say anything but they will. So thats why I am looking for help.
