The Preidential Address at Schools

What do you think about this. Do you think that 5 -14 years old really need to be listening to a Presidential Address, or do you think that this should be something parent s should get involved with and view it first then make the call. I personally think elementary and ,middle school aged children should not be exposed to anything political or get overly scared that if they don't do as he says, bad things will happen. High School Kids are diffrent, they are young adults, and are at the age were things like that become more noticable, but they can handle it easier. My kids will not attend it, they will be excused from class till its over, but if the teacher wouls like them to write an essay on How They Would Change They World, I have no problem with that.

I dont see the issue. Im sure Obama will gear it towards kids and use kid friendly language. But I think its good for them to be informed as to whats going on. This is our government this is how it works.



BTW Im not an Obama supporter. I voted for McCain and still dont see an issue with it.
