I'm a first time mom that wants the best for my baby an from another mom with experience I would really like to know what things I should have in the house for baby besides the basic common sense stuff that I already have?

Infant tylenol is a good thing to have. Unfortunately, they don't sell over the counter infant cough medicine anymore. Orajel is great for teething pain.

First of all, congratulations!

Make sure you have lots of extra sheets for your bassinet/crib. Also, if you plan on nursing, Boppy pillows are a lifesaver! And for YOU, if you plan to nurse, get some lanolin. It will save you a great deal of pain.

I wouldn't stock up too much on baby washes/shampoos and lotions. My kids all ended up with eczema and I couldn't use regular washes or lotions.

Good luck!
