It is fairly normal, when pregnant, don't worry too much. I survived it, and was reassured that my baby was getting all of her nutrients from me and was okay. I ended up loosing close to 40 pounds in the first 5 months of my pregnancy!! But ended up gaining it all back and then some after I gave birth. But definately call you Dr. or OBGYN. I had a wonderful Mid-Wife, and an awesome natural water birth!

same thing happened when i was pregnant and didnt stop until about 4 months. I couldnt keep anything down and when i threw up it was nothing but yellow bile. It was all day sickness...not morning. lol i ended up losing about 15 pounds in 4 months because of it. but my lil one was just fine and the last 2 months i gained twenty five. ugh... i think you are perfectly fine but it wont hurt to bring anything up to the doctor. anything that you have ?'s about no matter how gross, you have to ask your dr. dont be embarrassed

I hope you are feeling better and were able to stop the vomitting. I was going through morning sickness with my son 5 1/2 years ago through until almost 8 months in to the pregnancy. It sucked but the reward after all of that was a beautiful child who I adore. It's amazing what we womwn go through mjust to have a child . Go ahead and laugh that is supposed to make you laugh. Seriously I hope you are feeling better.

hi im jessica; when i was pregnant with my daughter, i would wake up everyday (after being 5 months until during labour) throwing up foam and yellow liquids. it was draining and would make me feel weak. i informed my doctor and he told me to take gaviscon due to the fact that tums weren't working. what made it help was not eating acidic and greasy foods. i think i had it because before i got pregnant i was dealing with acid reflex. just eat very frequent in small amounts to always have the stomach full... good luck

I was the same way when I was pregnant, for 4 months!!! I had Hyperemesis (Severe Morning Sickness)!! Just the smell of food made me vomit! I was lucky if I could hold down 1 meal a week! Had to go to the hospital a few times just for IV fluids... Hope you feel better soon!!!

i had morning sicken threw out my entire pregnancy, i puked every morning (not fun) same as you, untill around 5 months, what i found really helped was earl grey tea, really eased down the sickness feeling. i would get up in the morning and have a cup and was amazed that i didn't feel like throwing up!!! there were days that everytime i ate i would puke i talked to my obgyn and she said that as long as i drank lots of fluids that it was okay that i didnt eat or i could have the brat diet :Bran, Rice, Apple, Toast. hope this helps you!!!

I hated being pregnant for this very reason. I actually lost more than 10 lbs in my first trimester. I found to prevent the morning sickness to always have something little in your tummy at all times inbetween meals. So I would eat a snack or a meal like every two hours. A few almonds, some crackers, anything. Talk to your doctor about it. He will know best though.

Good luck. I know it sucks right now but it will totally be worth it once you feel them kick :)

call the Dr. If you throw up too much and started throwing up bile after throwing up too much, you'll end up dehydrated. Not good for you or baby. I got a stomach virus when I was a few months pregnant with my first child and ended up with the bile situation. I had to go to the emergency room and get hooked up to an IV to rehydrate me.

i think because you're throwing up so often that's why your vomit looks like that cus there is nothing left in there, I don't think it's abnormal necessarily.. but since youre 5 months along you could talk to your doctor about some nausea meds or something to help control it.

My sister was given really great meds for this. It was so bad for her that there was blood though. I hope you feel better soon.

I would call a doctor about it and see if they feel you need to be seen... If you are concerned always trust your first instinct anad don't wait till it could be too late for the help. It may be nerves or someting but I hope you feel better soon. I don't think vomitting as much as you say you are is normal for anyone.

I would call the doctor. You never know what it could be. Better be safe and healthy for you and your new soon to come addition.

If it concerns you enough to ask the question then it is abnormal enough to see a doctor. Better to see a doc over potentially nothing than to not see them over potentially something - your health is not something to gamble with :)

I was the same way when i was pregnant i had morning sickness the whole pregnancy but even though your gonna keep throwing it up you have to keep eating stuff or it will come out in white foam and yellow.

Its possibly your body telling you to eat because if its white foam and yellow thats your stomach acid you need to eat something.

this sounds familiar, lol. i had this for the first few months of my pregnancy. it was froma combination of things: feeling nauseous at the sight of food, but being hungry so eventually having to eat haha and also my prenatal made me sick all the time! i could see the whole pill come back up. i told my obgyn and he just switched my RX to a diff prenatal vitamin.

the good news... it gets better! and soon youll have abeautiful baby that will make it all worth it :) good luck xo

If you are pregnant it's nothing to worry about. Some women have morning sickness throughout the pregnancy. I didn't start to get morning sickness until I was 14 weeks along. The color and consistency is normal for throwing up on an empty stomach. You should only be concerned if you vomit red or you can't keep anything down. If you are having trouble keeping things down you should call your ob to get some medications to help stave off the nausea. Good luck!

Well...I can't really advocate that it's a GOOD thing to throw up bile...but as long as it's not several times a day, I'm sure you'll be all right.

If you're not really able to eat three square meals, try snacking lightly throughout the day to ensure that there's always something in your tummy TO throw up. Better to lose some nutrients that you can replace later than to purge stomach acid and bile. There are people who have severe nausea during pregnancy as well, and in that event your physician can usually give you a prescription to help with that. Talk about your options at your next doctor's visit.

It may also be your prenatals - I had to try a couple different ones before I found the one that worked best for me.

In the meantime, stay away from spicy and acidic foods, particularly Mexican and Italian. Remember - tomatoes are acidic enough to eat through aluminum foil, so you probably want to steer clear of any kind of red sauce until your tummy gives you the go ahead.

i think its fairly normal, if you have nothing in your stomach that is what you will throw up. try some ginger to settle your stomach, if that doesnt help tell your doc there is something they can prescribe to stop it for you.

if you are pregnant then that usually is normal if their is nothing in your stomack. but when i was pregnant that is what i had when i did not eat anything.

[deleted account]

have you been eating much? i know i had really bad morning sickness and wasn't eating anything so when i threw up it was bile and foamy like ur saying. check with your doctor just in case.

Hi Ashley
It is perfectly normal hun, just hangin there. I have 2 beautiful children and both pregnancies were so complete opposite. With my son I only had morning sickness for about 8 weeks, with my daughter I had it the whole pregnancy including during labor. With my daughter I was vomiting alot of foam and bile and it is horrible because once the biter taste of the bile comes up you can't stop vomiting and the foam is just because there is nothing in your stomach. I lost weight in my pregnancy due to vomiting and not being able to eat so just keep your fluids up, eat dry crackers and remember that you body will feed your baby before it feeds you so the baby won't suffer. Western culture has a much higher rate of low birth rates and miscarriage than africa where there is no food for the mother to be, its because of the poisons and toxins and chemicals we expose ourselves to, nothing to do with diet in pregnancy.

I had really bad sickness all through my pregnancy it was all day well whenever i ate or drank the white foam and bile is ok its just where u have nothing in ur tummy try eating a wholemeal biscuit with a cup of tea a couple of times a day, or a bannana bannanas take longer to digest so they line your tummy for longer.

r u pregnant? I know that this sounds stupid but with my second baby I did that a lot...and yes it is disqusting the doctor said that it was from acid reflex and that I could still have some of that going on after I had the baby from stomach displacement...not sure what that means or if it helps
