Does anyone else ever feel like all they are doing is yelling? My two year old is doing the typical pushing boundaries thing. He knows the rules, but he will look at me and smile and do something he knows he isn't supposed to do, like run towards the parking lot. I try adn give him soem independence and some days he is great with it and other days he is so frustrating. I feel some days like all I am doing is yelling at him, and it doesn't phase him at all! I just get to the end of the day and I feel like a horrible yelling mother. I just get so frustrated sometimes!

oh i thought i was the only one lol . I feel like iam ALWAYS yelling I have a 5 year old who LOVES disobeying me and a one year year old who loves crawling and getting into everything shes not supposed to get into like the toilet lol and i have a dog haha .. I feel some days i haven't talked to my kids just yelled at them about the stuff they are doing or shouldn't do or to stop doing.. oh my hey the joys of being a mommy . Maybe we will miss these times when they are 18 and moved out lol ..... but i do take maybe a half hour before they go to bed to just have quite time together where me and my oldest daughter talk about our day or whatever she feels like and my oldest just sits in bed with us cuz well she can have a conversation yet . but she just loves having a little time when were all quiet and just be together .. It may help you also . It does for me just to take a little while att he end of the day to talk/having a little quiet mommy, baby time ..good luck

It can be very frustrating! My daughter turns one next month and she is already pushing all of the boundaries. I am a yeller, I can't help it but I have become increasingly better since learning to breathe through the anger.

You are not a horrible mother. A horrible mother doesn't care what their child does, You obviously care. I know it is tough but he will get past the stage and you will find that you will have to do less and less yelling!
