I have had my tubes tied for 3.5 years. The first day of my period for about 2-5 hours I am in so much pain I can hardly see straight. Before this I had what I would call normal cramps but this not normal. I have never told my doctor about it I figured I would just have to live with it. For one thing i don't think what I have done is natural but I thought three children was a house full and I never wanted to take birth control again. I understand the pain you all are in, it's miserable I just thank God it's only a few hours and not all the time. If anyone had any home remedies please post I try to go all natural I don't like taking meds!

i haven't had my tubes tied, but am planning on it after this baby is born. that sounds awful but i would certainly talk to the doctor about it. it may be normal, but maybe he/she could do an exam and make sure everything's okay. you may just have to take pain relievers from now on. i know of a ton of women who have severe abdominal pain during their periods, and they haven't had this procedure or even had kids.

if your pain is constant, then you should certainly inform your doctor. but if it's only during your period, then hopefully it's just menstrual cramps intensified by the procedure.

So sorry you're going through that! I had mine tied eight years ago, and never had anything like what you're describing! (I get migraines, but I've had those for 25 years, and unrelated to the tubal.)

Your situation does not sound typical at all, and I certainly hope your doctor can do something to help you!

My periods definately hurt a lot worse than before, but I never had any cramps before, so for me, it's not too horrible. I would call your doc and see what they have to say.
