TMJ Syndrome in third trimester?36 weeks tomorrow

Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome(causes headaches, Jaw Clicking/popping, Ear pain, dizziness, tinnitus). I already did my research on it and pretty figured that's exactly what I have. I never have had this problem prior to pregnancy. I just started getting it, It started off alittle over a month ago(third trimester) once and awhile my jaw on the left side would pop randomly and would sometimes Sting/tingle for a few seconds. Now it's worse then ever before. It pops way more and it's causing my left ear to hurt and my jaw to be stiff. I believe I grind my teeth at night(not a hundred percent sure). I also clench my teeth when I am stressed out. Curious if it's common in pregnancy? I wake up with my left ear sometimes really hot and wet. If i lay my head down on the left side my jaw will click and pop. I looked online and seen some woman found it only happens to them when they are pregnant. I know only the dentist can fix this. Can this possibly fix itself? or do i have no choice but to seek medical help?

I have had tmj for over 10 years and unfortunately dentists cant help physiotherapy helps and Acupuncture helps, there are exercises you can do to strengthen your jaw. To keep it from getting bad avoid crunchy and chewy food try not to over stretch your jaw buy yawning too wide for example. Although it can improve if you are careful you will always have to be careful to keep it from acting up. if it is severe enough that your jaw seizes shut they will consider surgery but even then it can happen again. I found out I had it just I before I turned 18 when I woke up one morning and couldn't open my mouth I could with effort open it about a cm for about 2 weeks I was given exesises to do and told they wont do anything medically unless I couldn't open it at all because of the high rate of the sugary reversing itself and ending up worse.

the exesise that I was given was to rest my chin in the palm of my hand and press up with my hand while pressing down with my jaw to strengthen the jaw with-ought over stretching it. also not to open my mouth wider then 3 finger width especially when yawning. hope this helps you it can be difficult to live with I really miss gum and peanut-brittle some days
