To all the mothers of little boys, did you have your child circumcised? Why or Why not?

Me personally I just had my first little boy on March 3rd, 2010 and on our last day in the hospital we had him circumcised... My personal reason is that it seems easier to keep it clean, I didn't want to have to explain to him why his looked different from his daddy's, and his daddy wouldn't have it any other way :)

I got my son circumsized. My boyfriend isn't but he wanted our son to be. It's your choice and will not hurt the child emotionally if they are however it may if they're not but as another woman has said, explaining to your child that everyone is different may help.

I have 2 boys and they are both circumsised. I chose to have my first son done because I was single and young and I thought that was just what I suppose to do. I had my second son done because my first was.

my husband isn't circumcised so with our two boys he insisted they should be. it's just depends on how you feel about it.

The best way is to let it done. Because my husband who is from europe was not been circumcised when he was a child. He had a very painful infection called balanitis when he was 4 years old. He can remember on this until today. So he would be glad if his mother had it done when he was a child. We do not have a child at the moment. But my husband will do it soon by himself. I am support him to do that absolutely. If we should have a own baby boy we do it too.

My son is not done. I honestly never thought about it until he was like 4 mths old and then i asked my husband if he thought we should do it. He didn't see the point. My husband is not done, but that had nothing to do with our final choice.
Honestly i wasn't even sure if my husband was done or not i never paid that much attention.....lol.....

There are so many of these posts now a days, but i say not to circumcise, and im sure many mums will agree, and many will not.
If the foreskin wasnt meant to be there, it wouldnt be there.

It does annoy me slightly when people think is lessens the chances of STI's/STD's, it doesnt, but safe sex does.

And if you teach your child to wash properly and clean from a young age, then no problems should occur.

My little boy isnt circumcised, i think its more of a big deal in America, as here in England hardly anyone thinks about it unless its an emergency or for religious reasons.

If women are worried about their sons being teased if they wern't to have a circumcision, then surely mothers should teach their children that everyone is different, instead of making them look all the same? etc etc.

I have a lot to say on the subject, and it does upset me a little bit, but it is a mothers choice to get their son the snip, i guess??

Just my opinion thrown out there :)

I didn't circumsize him because his dad is not circumsized and he feels it is cruel to do that to a boy's penis. he would not allow it. personally if it were up to me i probably would have had it done
