toilet trained by day but waking through the night to use toilet!

I have recently started toilet traing my 2yr old and all has gone great so far, I put her in nappies of a night and I always get her to go to the loo on the way to bed until such time I feel we have the day time routine down pat and she is waking through the night asking to use the toilet now i dont know whether to tell her she has a nappy on or let her goto the toilet in the middle of the night. My concern with letting her go through .the night is that she will have more chances of being a bed wetter as she gets older. Any advice on night time waking for the loo would be appreciated.

how much is she having to drink in the hour before bedtime? cutting down on night-time fluid intake can keep her from having to use the bathroom too often in the middle of the night. however, i do agree that if she's coming to you to say she needs the bathroom, that means the potty-training's working!

When toilet training my son I would put pull ups on him of a night. He would go to the toilet before going to bed and just before I went to be I would wake him and carry him to the toilet. He would go and sleep the rest of the night. He only ever had three accidents at night.

my son isnt old enough for potty training just yet but i think if he was coming to me in the night to use the toilet i would take him to use it because it shows he understands wat the toilet is used for n is understadning that. x

If u dont like the idea of her getting up in the night put her pot in teh corner of the room and get her to use that, just make sure you have pull ups on as i forgot one night and my little girl had a wee then just went to bed luckly she stayed dry.

i totally agree. if she is waking in the night to go to the bathroom then let her go. my 3 year old is totally toilet trained during the day but must be in a diaper at night because he sleeps too deeply to wake up. i would still put her in a diaper at night just to prevent accidents

If you encourage her to use her nappy at night, that will in turn encourage bed wetting. If she is coming to you to use the toilet you should happily oblige her request. Your toilet training is sinking in...Great job!
