Trying to get 16 month old to sleep in their own bed

My 16 month old daughter has slept in bed with us for about 8 months, she put up a fight, and we caved. It was fine for a while, but she's getting bigger, and I'm pregnant again. With getting sick in the middle of the night, and not being able to sleep very comfortably, I'd like to be able to have her in her own bed. Any suggestions? Should we try to cry it out now? Or, are there other methods?

Any suggestions would be great!!

From day one my son was put in his own bed. I was afraid something like this would happen to me. Its so much easier with just my husband in the bed, I don't want a small child with me too. The only recommendation I have is just keep putting her in her bed, make it fun, let her pick out some sheets, princess or something. You may be able to reason with her, by showing her there isn't enough room anymore in your bed anymore. So once she's got her cool sheets and her own bed, she may just go on her own. If not and she resists, you'll have to have your husband get up and lead her back to bed til she gives up and lays down. Eventually she'll be so tired she'll give up. I'd recommend starting this on a weekend when if she's up all night trying to get in bed with you and your husband is leading her back to her own bed, he may be tired too in the morning. Just be firm and unyielding, if you give up you'll be right back where you are now. And soon with a 4th companion in the bed.
