I have a 5 month old daughter that I'm trying to wean from breast to bottle. She starts daycare in two weeks and me and my husband are lost. We have tried giving her fresh from the pump, warmed formula, and almost every type of bottle on the market. We have also tried him feeding her while I'm gone and nana feeding her while we are gone, both of these resulted in lots of crying and no eating. This has been going on for about a month and we don't know what to do. I would love to keep breast feeding her but with my classes there is just no way to get from the college to her daycare and back in time for my next class. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think just keep at it. She will eat eventually.

Try rubbing the bottle teats with rock salt, it softens them.

I also breast feed and one of the reasons that babies sometime refuse the bottle is because of the hormone produced by you an the baby when they are feeding it is addicting, but you will both eventually grow out of it! The advice I have for you is depending on you classes ask if you can bring you nursing infant with you! I know in my degree program I asked and my teachers all said that I would be able to bring my nursing infant with me. Also just keep trying but make sure that its someone else trying not you! I mean why would she want a bottle form you when you got the good stuff right there! Good Luck!
