i think my twins may have resulted because i had dropped a dramatic amount of weight. i was severely anorexic. i've heard that your chances of releasing multiple eggs increases when your body is about to stop menstrating(like when you're close to menopause). a sudden weight loss as mine was can halt your menstration. my periods had decreased greatly, they were shorter and farther apart. when they stopped all together, i just thought it was my size, until i took the test. i definately don't recommend this! when i got pregnant with my singleton, nearly 6 yrs later, i was a healthy weight and only had one. i had kinda hoped for twins again, but i'm not sure if i could've done it again so close together. i had originally wanted another set of twins when my 1st were 10 yrs old. good luck to you, just be careful what you wish for. having my daughter, i realized how much i missed out with my boys, because i had so much going on. i almost feel like my boys got the short end of the stick. i have enjoyed the one on one bonding i have had with my daughter and i realize that i missed having that with my boys.

I conceived my twins without any fertility drugs, but then again...there are 18 sets in my family..and 3 more sets due this year. Do you have any twins on your side of the family? It all depends on if you hyper-ovulate or not.

Awwwww twins - they run in my family (i didn't get any but I do have 3 beautiful girls!!).. I have heard that women who drink lots of dairy have higher odds, also I have heard that yams have some sort of effect on it (I forget where but some country where they eat a lot of yams they have more twins there) Now these are not proven but hey they are worth a shot right - I'll keep an eye and ear out for anything else I see or hear, Oh ya I also heard that women who have lots of children are more likely to carry twins also women over 35, and then there is fertility drugs and usually you get multiples when you take them? Just a few ideas I have heard... Good luck! I hope you get your twins : )

(keep me posted i would love to hear if you have twins - everyone thought I would but not yet)
