Waking up during the night

My son is three months old and goes to bed at 8:30pm. (Bath, Breast, Bed) He wakes up between 1:30am and 3:00am and has a feed. But he wakes up several times during the night, sometimes before midnight, other times after his feed, in which I wrap him up again and give him his dummy. He goes straight back to sleep but I am hoping to eliminate this- any suggestions? Is this usual? Also is it possible to wean him from his feed or will he do this by himself? He normal wake-up time is between 6:30am and 7:00am.

It is normal right now. He is still very young and will (unfortunately) probably continue to do this until about 5 or 6 months. Once he is about 6 months old he will start to sleep better and for longer periods of time. He is still at the comfort stage where he just needs to know mommy is still there when he is sleeping...i promise it will get better. If the problem still persists after about 6 months thats when you need to make the decision as to whether you want to let him fuss it out or you could go in the room (not pick him up) and sooth him by patting his back and singing a lullaby that way he knows you are there but you aren't going to pick him up and it will help break the habit. Good Luck!
