My little angel (11 months) loves bath time, but when it's time to wash her hair she FREAKS out if the water goes down the front of her face. I've tried to prevent it, but it's almost impossible to avoid it completely. Any tricks you could share?

Lay her baack and support her neck. with ur other hand you can wash the water up to her forehead without it going down her face

See if you can get her to tip her head back and then place your free hand at her hair line and kinda push the water away from her face... it has always been hard for me when mine were that little too.....

My daughter used to hate water on her face too...we just kept up with and she got over it very quickly (her screaming only lasted about 2 wks) I have also seen visors that the kids can wear to keep the water from running down their face at babies 'r us.

hiya my little boy has always been the same! when he was younger he put the face cloth over his eyes as i made it into a game of him guess ing when the water was cuming. now he is 3 its still the same but the game is to count to 10 cups of water when i rinse the shampoo off he loves it!! if u make it a game and exciting i find it much easier xox

u can buy this rubber thing that gos over their head...its kinda like a wide brim hat, but only the rim part. u can pour the water over their head and it wont go anywhere on their face...i think u can get them from the chemist.

i use swim goggles for my kids. i've tried several other things and this is the only thing that has worked.

I've tried all of that, the only thing that worked for my child, which is cheap and inexpensive is goggles. And my daughter absolutly loves the idea. and you can take them swimming and to the beach. Pick up a pair of goggles from a doller store or another place and they work awsome.

Rinse his head from the back, from behind him and down. Aiming the water twards his butt while he's facing away from you. This is the only way my 3 yr old will let me do it.

Brandi, all I have to tell you is: Join the club! ha ha Just kidding! I also haven't figured out how to get my daughter to stop freaking out every time I rinse her hair. She is 2 years old. I guess she will stop freaking out once she is about 3 yo. Next year I'm enrolling her in swim lessons. I'm thinking that might help as well. Good luck! :)

i also agree with the washcloth trick over the eyes. it woirked for me and my sister when we were little. and its also nice if you dont want to spen that extra money on the rinser

my daughter is the same way. she doesnt cry when it happens but she gives me the look like i did something mean to her. at the store they have those bucket like things that you fill with water and it has a side on it that is made of flexible rubber, you use that and press it against her forehead and rinse. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp...

My little boy is 20 months, but for awhile now I've been telling him to look up at the ceiling and point to some random thing that I know is up there. It doesn't always work, but then what does with kids? Also....I have the aforementioned jug with the curved top, doesn't work for me unless I can convince my son to look up anyway.
