I worked in the infant room at a daycare, and there I learned that all babies develop at different ages. We had 6 month olds crawling, and 10 month olds that were not. I have 6.5 month old twins that have totally different personalities, and it kind of shows through what they are trying to do. My son, is sooo outgoing, exporative, etc. He is trying to find everything around the room that he can to get into. My daughter is very easy going, and laid back. She couldnt be happier than laying there and sucking on her toes! :).. so she hasnt even attempted crawling yet. Dont worry... Babies all do things at their own rate. And dont rush it!!! they grow so quickly.. before you know it, you will wish he was this little again!

My son started sitting up on his own at 5months .. crawling at 6months and has started walking around the sofa now he is 8months. but all babies develop at different ages.

my daughter totally never did she crawled then next minute walking lol she sat up i remember once i took a photo and then that was it :) it means your little one is probably going to skip that milestone and eager to not sit around and be standing soon!

I was told that the later kids do those things, the smarter they are. LOL He knows that you're there to help! =) I wouldn't worry, kids do these all at different times. My daughter was at least that old before she stopped falling over so much from sitting.

my daughter was sitting up at 5 months and crawling at the same time 5 months

but every baby does thing when the time is right for them dont worry, everything will come in time.

My daughter could crawl before she could set up for long. She would always fall over. I think because she hates staying still. She was pulling her self around at 4 months, fully crawling at 6 months, walking around things at 7 months, then started walking at 10 months. Some kids never crawl and walk at 9 months. so you never know every child likes doing different things.

yeah dont worry, my youngest son he FINALLY sat up when he was nearly 9 months old. just a lil late starter.

11 and a half months and they wasted our time and worried us with an MRI to. babies who have less weight on them tend to take much longer to sit up because of it.

When my little girl was about 7 months she didn't crawl, sit up and really didn't even roll but one day around 7-8 months old she decided (this was all in one day too), that she was ready to sit, crawl and pull herself up to a standing position. She still doesn't roll. I know she can but she was never all about it.
Good luck. Plus you have to remember every kid is different. My oldest did it at 6 months.

I shouldn't worry Jennifer. My son was about 7 1/2 months before he first sat up unaided but it was at least a good month or two after that before he could do it well enough without falling over. xxx
