What we've always done with our kids is to lay them on their tummies and have them watch us crawl around on the floor and place objects around them so that they are far away enough that they have to at least scoot to grab them eventually they decide that crawling would be alot easier than scooting.

just like jen said tummy time.My baby is 5 months and she has been doing the same thing.Shoving her face turning in circles but wont stop trying.Maybe you can try tummy time like i said with a toy out of reach or lay baby on its back and put a toy above its legs so the baby can begin to kick.........it could work.Just as long as the baby is kicking or trying the kid will get there

Don't worry, she will learn it when she is ready- don't sweat it! everything in it's own time.

lots of tummy time! my baby is only four months old and for the last two months has been desperately trying to get moving once he's on his belly. He obviously can't yet but it doesn't stop him from trying. He'll scooch (sp?) all over the place by using his feet off the floor but because he can't figure out the arms part yet.. he just drags his face forward lol

Do you lay your bab on its stomach to play or try? I have encountered alot of mothers who dont do that and wonder why.But with my son it helped to put him on his tomach and flashed something he liked. that day it just turned out to be a cell phone with flashing lights and funny music
