use a ointment that is recommended for chapped nipples (breastfeeding supplies) that way you don't need to worry if they eat some of it. It is great stuff I use lansinoh it is also great for your cuticles :)

hey Jessica,

when my little girl was born she had the same problem, i used paw paw ointment in a little red tube from most chemists, around $10.00 it works really well plus its an all natural product give that a try :)

I agree with Carly! Breastfeeding tends to leave baby's lips very chapped, like your nipples..so it works great and the Lansinoh is baby friendly. Once my daughter got a little older, I used cherry flavored vasaline lip balm because her tummy wasn't so sensitive and the Lansinoh is icky. Hope they heal quickly.

your welcome girl. Glad to help. Just be sure not to put alot just a little bit. It wont hurt him if he does get a little bit in his mouth but he doesnt need to have alot of it. lol

If you're breastfeeding you can express a little bit of milk to put on there too. Or you can get some of the palmers coco butter stuff that's in the circle container that's kinda like total solid and use a little bit of that too.
