I agree with the natural yoghurt idea.... The ab cultures are what fights yeast infection. I wasn't going to say it because bub is so young but I was thinking more like feeding. Rubbing it in his mouth would do the same and minimise the chance of him getting sick if he's lactose intolerant. It's not enough for him to ingest but enough to tackle the thrush. You may even find that the meds could worsen the problem as a lot of thrush is actuallu aggrevated by the chemicals and meds we have in society. I eat natural yoghut regularly so I don't get thrush... a common problem in my family. I have no problems as long as I eat natural yoghurt. As for nappy rash you can't go past fresh aloe vera gel straight from the plant!

This may sound strange, but it worked for my niece who is around the same age as your son and my son back when he had it then as well. Do keep giving him medicine and baby motrin or tylenol to reduce the pain, but try getting plain yogurt and use your finger to lightly coat his tongue with it. Yogurt is a natural defense against yeast infections, which is basically what thrush is but in the mouth. It will also help with any rashes that may develop around his diaper from the medicine flushing it out of his system. Make sure to stay 100% on top of his diapers (which I am sure you do) during this time, because any amount of urine that stays on his skin right now will likely cause a rash. If that happens, you can use some of the medicine or a special cream (ask the doctor) on it as well. Don't worry, he'll be fine!

hello! my daughter is now 7 months and she had thrush at 2 months old but i found the meds they gave her didnt work as she spat it out but the only thing you can do it make sure u wash everything well even toys that he puts in his mouth, it took my daughter nearly 2 months to get rid of it. unfortunatly you just have to wait till it goes.
