All of my children had dry skin as infants so I used Eucerin and Vani Cream. They are a little spendy but all you need to use is just a little bit on the dry areas and the product will last you a long time.

the best thing to use is johnson&johnson baby lotion because it moisturizes the baby skin and its not sticky or runny. its also good for your skin..

Trying using plain old vasaline! My son has dry skin on his face and cheeks, I lather it on him at night, and it wont hurt him if he ingest it by accident!

Use baby lotion every night. The baby oil does weird stuff if you use it everyday. I had the same issue lol

It is normal for a newborn's skin to flake off. It is best not to put anything on it. It is just because the environment in the womb is so different than the outside world that your son has to grow a different kind of skin now so the old one flakes off. If you put anything on it, it could irritate it more. But if it is really bothering you, a little facial moisturiser is ok, preferably one with no oil, fragrance or colourings.

Baby oil is actually really nasty stuff - it is a gasoline by-product. Sweet almond oil is a more natural alternative.

My son used to have really dry skin. I would bathe him in luke warm water with baby oil in it. I still use it till this day and he is 10 now, but it keeps is skin moisturized, and I also use the Johnson's Shea & Cocoa butter baby lotion It works really well

I personally used renew lotion on my daughter (works great for eczema as well) but I'm sure any type of extra-hydrated lotion from the baby section would surfice
