What is going on with me? So confused!

I will try to make this short. I had my second daughter last july. She is my second living child but was my 4th pregnancy. I have pcos which is controled with metformin as well as an incompotent cervix. I had the mirena put in at my 6 week check up last year. I hated it, I had every side effect possible basically. I decided to try to wait it out and let my body try to adjust to it. By march that had still not happen. I was scheduled to get it taken out when I was in a motorcycle accident that made me postpone. In june I ovulated and am 99.9% positive I got pregnant. I called and scheduled to have it taken out. 2 days before it came out i was spotting lightly, after removal there was nothing for 2 days then I had an extremely heavy long period with large clotting (sorry tmi). After that ended I felt so much better. Because of my pcos I have as short as 32 and as long as 42 day cycles. Today is day 45.(aug 4th)(have been having unprotected sex) I have been having pregnancy symptoms for about a week and a half, nausea, fatigue, headaches, heartburn (only get regularly when pregnant) sore breasts.Last week I took 2 pregnancy test but have a history of urine tests not showing when I am. 3 days ago I started having very very mild cramping and a very dark brown spotting.(2 days after 2nd pregnancy test) I only had it when I went to the bathroom and wiped. I did not have to wear any protection. This happen for about 2 days then nothing. Today after doing some house work I had what looked like my normal period was starting, however that was about 8 hours ago and have had no spotting since. I do now have some lower left abdominal pain but is light and comes and goes. Has anyone got any advice or experience with this? I am so confused I have never had the brown spotting before and while my periods are on a longer cycle then normal they come every month. Also as a side note I do have IBS which can and has caused lower left abdominal pain when I am either constipated or have diarea. (again sorry tmi)

Brown means 'old blood' - you might get in to see a doctor as you are bleeding somewhere higher up in you. You might have a tubal prgnancy -

Call your oby/gen. You can get a blood test to see pregnant, either way should ease your mind. Also, if it is anything else, the sooner you know the better. I said a prayer for you!

It could be a tubal pregnancy. All the symptoms sound like it. Definitely go and get things checked out.

the blood rurning brown could be from your body being dehydrated. I had my period for 35 days and it just magically disappeared. I too had the pregnancy symptoms and went to my doc only to find out I wasn't. There are many things that could be going on with your body and the best idea is to get into the doctor and find out for certain what is causing the problems. I was told my Iron was low from bleeding so much, and that was causing the other sypmtoms. (the nausea, fatigue, and soreness) Hopefully all works out well for you and there is a simple cure!!

I was on the pill from 16 to 20 and it worked great until I went off of it to try to have my first baby. 2 different times I have tried going back on it with horrible side effects, so we are having to try different things. That is why I ended up trying the mirena which unfortunetly did not work. I dont mind that I have a long cycle since it still comes every month. If I were missing periods then that would be an issue. Also we do want to have more children hence the having unprotected sex since getting my birth control taken out.We were very upset with the thought that if I really was pregnant last month but lost it do to having the mirena. While we had it there to prevent pregnancy at this time we feel that things happen for a reason and with my history any baby unplanned or planned are a blessing. My second daughter was a unplanned went to the doctor for a checkup and oh your pregnant. We are not actively trying but are not proventing either. We have found it is less stress ful that way and with all the other problems I have that already make it harder to get pregnant I dont need the added stress. on a side note the cramping last night stopped after a trip to the bathroom so pretty sure it was just my ibs rearing its ugly head. lol I did call the doctor on friday and they said if my period hasnt started by mid week to call back and they will do a pregnancy blood test. Then if that shows negative they will go from there.

I would go to the doctor and chat about the bleeding and have an official pregnancy test. I would also chat about being on a regular contraception, such as the pill, as this can regulate periods since your body is usually all over the place! I also have IBD, Ulcerative Colitis, so I know the pain you might be feeling. I am on the regular contraceptive pill which has helped me be regular (as well as no more babies!) with periods so I don't need to worry about that and the IBD at the same time.
