What is it with men ?

We have had all the kids, we want and can affored, I asked my hubby to get the snip, but its a no go.

I realy dont think this is fair as, why dose birth control always come down to us women ! ?

The snip for a man is quick, and cost effective.

I would happily become a sports model, but for 2 reasons, the cost and having 2 todlers cant be down for the lenghth of time to recover.

Any thoughts ?

I agree, ladies! I think men can be such babies! I told my husband he should get it done after all my body has been through for him and our family! He says no way is anybody coming at my penis with a knife! LOL!!

I am actually really thinking of getting the Essure procedure done. We are done with our family now so this is a great option for us because it is non-reversible. It takes place in the doctors office and you are ready to go. I think it's only like 15 minutes for each tube or something like that. Once we find out that our insurance covers it I will be good to go!

My husband is very cranky about this. We've talked about it several times but we're no where near ready for permanent birth control (still TTC number 2). But I can't undergo surgery for a tubal because of my auto-immune disorder. I think it's really selfish of my husband to not even consider a vasectomy because of his pride for his nuts. He says it will make him feel like less of a man. And I won't feel like less of a woman if I have a tubal? I can't do it because of the risk of infection and the hospital stay. He could go in and be done in an hour. Jeez. Men. :P

I agree with you. I can't take birth control because I'm very allergic to it and I don't want anymore kids, not be me getting pregnant anyway. I can't afford to have my tubes tied so I think its on my fiance to get it taken care of but he wont because he wants me to be pregnant and doesn't understand that I don't have it in me to go thru another emotional draining pregnancy. I don't think its fair for my daughter to have a mother on bed rest for 6-9months which makes me wish even more that men would stop acting childish and get it taken care of.

My man already wants to get his snipped with his friend as soon as we have a nother one. But I wan to wait a few years to get that going....But it's hard to get your hubby to get it snipped if he doesnt want to..they have perm. birth control for us ladies though..of course, it always boil down to us=)

I think they are just uneasy about anything happening to their penises that they really can't control. My husband got it done and he healed in no time. It's not as invasive as most men seem to think.

it's easy for men to say they don't want anyone around their precious penis yet we can have a fetus resting on our bladder and living in our insides and having the pain of pushing them out and stitches and healing up yet they can get a snip snip? please*

Me and my husband have talked about this one. I think men are sometimes concerned if they get the snip, it will take away from their manhood. Or worse, they may not be able to get an errection anymore. I am not fond of birth control, so we are still doing the condom thing 4 years after our last one. Though not the most pleasant, it seems to be effective. Maybe in time my hubby will get the snip as will yours. Just make sure you truely don't want anymore kids. It's a big decision, expensive to reverse.

I would never ever ever ask my husband to get snipped. I would just simply get birth control because later on down the road what if we do make that decision for him to get it and then we want kids?? I think its better off for woman to just have birth control. I have the IUD in and its not a problem. 5 years no babies work for me!

Men are scared about getting thier penis snipped. I think its very common. I didnt even ask my hubby. Id rather get snipped just because then I know Im covered. Plus I have insurance that will cover it.
