What is the earliest anyone noticed fetal movement? (Esp. moms who have had more than one baby)

If anyone remembers, I just wanted to compare when everyone started feeling the baby move. If you have more than one child I'd like to know when you felt it in the first and second pregnancy. Was it sooner?

hi, im 18 weeks and i think i felt a kick but im not sure. this is my first baby. what does the kick actually feel like?

[deleted account]

im currently pregnant with my first, and i felt faint flutters at around 14wks. it was very annoying because i knew what i was feeling but i had older people around me telling me that it was impossible to feel it that early, but as my pregnancy progressed they became more noticable and i knew for sure that i was feeling them earlier on. just depends on how intune you are to your body i think and your weight also has alot to do with it my midwife told me.

I first started feeling a flutter in me when i was about 9-10 weeks, i was laying flaat on the floor, and it was definitely not gas lol!

My first pregnancy was a little hard for me to distinguish gas bubbles from baby at first, but I was around 18-20 weeks when I felt a real push. I am pregnant and I've already felt it move at 10 weeks (but honestly, I think I am further along since I was having some really strange periods after #1.)

I felt Johnathan move on my wedding day (while the pastor was reading from Corinthians) I was 4 months along. But I had been feeling butterflies for a couple of weeks before that.

I have had three babies and with each one of them I started feeling movement at different times. My first I started when I was about 25 weeks, my second I hardly ever felt her move but first felt her at 22 weeks and with my third baby I felt her fluttering around in there at almost 16 weeks. So it is different every time.

I was sick allot durring my first pregnancy, in and out of the hospital, and I remember I was 24 wks when I first felt her kick, and 4 wks later she was born. Prem. I never felt a strong kick like I would sometimes see in other people, when you can see the foot pressing against the tummy, I sometimes feel like I was robbed of that because she was prem. I would have loved to experience that myself....

The first movements feels like butterflies in your belly. I have 3 children and only 2 pregnancies. My oldest I felt when I was about 4mths... My other 2 (Twins) was about 3 or 4 months as well. For some reason it wasn't till after the ultrasound to find out what I was having, when they decided they really wanted to move.

I felt it around 14 weeks, but I wasn't absolutely sure that it was the baby until around 16 weeks. It sort of just felt like gas at first, just in the front, which is the only reason I thought it was the baby. My best friend is exactly 4 weeks behind me (she's about 15 weeks now) and she still hasn't felt anything at all. So, everyone is different. I think it has a lot to do with how sensitive your body is and how much muscle and stuff that you have around the uterus.

I'm not sure how far along I was but it was early because I thought I felt fluttering but my husband kept saying it was gas. But I remember it was the first dr's appointment when they check the fetal heart beat because she asked me if I felt her move and I did it was the same fluttering I was feeling before that my husband told me was gas.Maybe a little before 20 weeks possible 3 months.

I think with my first one it was about 4 months or so....with the second I felt him about 10 to 12 weeks! It did take longer for daddy to feel the baby with the second since there was a little bit extra baby fat there!

With my first child I felt movement as early as 12-13 weeks, started out really faint then got more pronounced within a few days. With my second child however, I didn't feel movement until around 17 weeks. The first pregnancy, my son kicked constantly whereas my daughter only did small movements when she felt the need. It's amazing how different babies can be! :)

I started feeling my daughter move soon after the 1st trimester. It was just little flutters, but I was assured by more than one person, that I was in fact feeling my little angel move.

I had my kids 1 year and 20 days apart, and with my second I rarely felt her move. I kept telling the doctor - even toward the end - she rarely moves. She'd do ultrasounds, I'd see her move, but I hardly ever felt it... she said sometimes when they're close together the second one doesn't feel as active - it could be because I'm busy with the first, or it could be because I'm kind of stretched. Either way, scared the crap out of me. I was so paranoid with my second pregnancy because my first was moving all the time! I hope this helped :)

For my first 2, it was probably like, halfway thru before i realized it... This time, with twins, i noticed the first flutters around 16 weeks and just got stronger from there. I think it depends on how attuned you are to your body, and if you know what youre looking for. For instance, there was 7 years between my first 2, so i had forgotten what it felt like and probably missed alot of them, but now my youngest is only 16 months, and im 6 months pregnant and have been tuned into these girls from very early on.

My first pregnancy I didnt start feeling movement til a little later than normal, around 21-24 weeks probably. With my second I felt it WAY sooner like 13-15 weeks! I didnt think it was even possible to feel it that early!

I first felt my son move at 14 weeks when I was lying on my front. It scared the hell out of me. It was like a tiny drum beat! Then when I moved over after a second or two he settled down. I didn't feel him again until 17 weeks. He's now 14 months old and has stopped wriggling about. ;)

My first I felt a flutter around 14 weeks, but only once. It wasn't consistent until 16-18 wks(?). The second, it felt like as early as 12-ish weeks. By 15-16 weeks, it was VERY pronounced and obvious. Dunno if that seems possible, but it's a very distinctive feeling. I feel like with two pregnancies, I've had enough gas to know the difference!

I was 18 weeks along with my first. I'm pregnant now with my second and I started feeling movement right around 12-13 weeks. I believe the difference was just knowing what to look for, but also due to the fact that I was thinner to begin with this pregnancy.

I have 2 children. The first one was a boy and started feeling him moving when i was 12 weeks pregant. The second was a girl a felt the first kiks when i was round 17 weeks pregnant. I hear them say that if its a boy you feel it earlier than girls! In my case that was right!

does anyone have older kids, I have a 4 and half year old who has massive seperation issues from me. Its getting so bad that its effecting our life. He is always behind me kitchen bathroom everywhere. He wont even go places with his Dad anymore which breaks his heart. He cries when i have a shower and when its bed time thinking i wont be there when he gets up. He will wake and check on me serval times a night, making sure i have'nt left him. I also have a 11 week old, but this started before i was even pregnant with him. Has anyone else had the same extreme seperation problems, what did you do?

I don't remember completely but with my first i think it was about 1/2 way through my second trimester, my second was more towards the begining of my second end of my first trimester, and now pregnant with my third I've been feeling him move since I was somewhere between 8 to 10 weeks. the doctor said that it's really normal especially with a third pregnancy.

I felt my daughter move at 17 weeks and now with my 2nd baby I felt it move very early at 14 weeks. My babies were/are very busy in the womb, I'm currently 37 weeks and the movements have not slowed down at all. The second was much sooner, I think because you know what you are feeling the 2nd time around.

i felt all my children move earlier then most women do... the skinnier you are the easier it is to feel them move... my first and second were between 10 and 12 weeks and the third and fourth were around 16... everyone is different but if you are patient and try to feel the baby move you can feel it very early.
